House or Apartment?

Torrance's POV

After sitting on the bench, in the park where Nick left me, for what seemed like hours. In truth, it had only been about an hour. I thought Nick must have made the excuse of going to Parker's to talk or whatever he was suppose to be doing because he hated me and wanted away from me as fast as he could get away. All he had to do was tell me he didn't believe me and for me to leave him along permanantly. I would have.

I got up off the bench and walked the path to town. I noticed a few faces around town and asked them if they kenw anyone willing to rent me a house or apartment. Most of them pointed me to the bulletin board, where I found a flyer for a small 2 bedroom house on the opposite side of town from Parker.

I needed as far away from him as possible. I should probably have left after Nick went to Parkers or wherever he went. I couldn't make myself without knowing where Nick had went and what was going on. I needed to know if he was staying or leaving. If he wanted anything to do with me.

I shook the thoughts away as I started down the path to the house I was going to look at, coming up on it sometime later. It was quite small, but that's how I want it.

The owner was waiting on the front porch to show me around. I took one look around the very small house and knew instantly I had to have it. "I'll take it." I told her without even viewing all of it. I gave her the little bit of money I had for a deposit and agreed to get the rest of the rent to her as soon as I get a job and start getting a paycheck.

Which I had got while in town. I was now employeed at the local library. I knew it wasn't much but it would do for now. It was income.

After the owner left, I sunk down ito the nearest chair, thinking about Nick and drifting off to sleep.
