Leaving Her Life Behind

Torrance's POV

I left behind everything that has ever meant anything to me for a chance at happiness. This is suppose to be a new start for Parker and me. Leaving behind a piece of my heart was something I had to sacrifice. Whether I will ever get it back, I don't know.

Parker was driving his teeny sports car. Why he wouldn't let us apparate, he wouldn't tell me! I have to be one of the saddest people alive right now.

I looked over at Parker and frowned. "Why?" was all I could ask.

He tensed but kept his eyes on the road not answering me. HE decided we are moving to The Great Hallow. I'm not sure why he chose there but I'm sure it probably has something to do with a woman. It always does.

"Answer me, Parker!" I said, my voice becoming slightly louder.

"You know why, Torrance. Now drop it!" He turned off the highway onto the small town road leading to our house. I looked out of the window not wanting to see it. Knowing that when I do, I have to try and forget. I felt the car stop but refused to look at the house.

I heard Parker get out, I just sat there staring into the trees off to the side. "Get out of the car, Torrance. Forget about it!"

How could I? How could I forget what he has done?

"How can I forget what you done? Answer me that! You haven't so far, you just keep avoiding the question." I narrowed my eyes at him, crossing my arms and waiting for his answer.

"I don't have to explain shit to you, Torrance." He turned and began carrying our things toward that horrible house. Tears welled up in my eyes, I fought them back as I leaned against the car watching the wind blow through the trees.

Parker continued to carry things inside. He finally stopped realizing I haven't looked at the house. "Are you coming in or staying out here all night?"

"Do I have a choice?" I said in a smart ass tone.

"No not really, unless you want to sleep on the ground."

Damn it. "You going to lock your car again so I can't sleep in it?"

"Of course. Now come inside."

I stood around outside for a while, stil avoiding looking at the house Parker bought 'us'. That was a bunch of bullshit. He never bought anything except for himself. About an hour later I heard him banging shit around in the house and decided to to look at it. My god, it was nothing like what I was use to. I sighed and hung my head as I began walking toward the

house that was now my personal hell.

I reached the door and walked inside seeing Parker putting things away in the livingroom. He turned around when he heard the door shut and glared at me. "Start unpacking." I nodded and went into the kitchen putting away all the dishes and things.

We finished everything up tonight. By the time we were finished it was after 1 am. I was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to take a shower and go to bed. So I walked upstairs to the bathroom ignoring Parker. I took my shower and layed down drifting off into a deep sleep.
